Dental Website Cost Dataset: Collection Protocol
The normalization rules, scope, limitations, and release status for a planned transparent dataset of dental website prices.
01 · Evidence status
What this page does not claim.
No market price benchmark is reported in this protocol release. The current sample size is zero. Bite-Sites prices elsewhere on this site are offers from one provider, not a market dataset.
We publish results only with a baseline, a date range, and the client’s approval.

03 · Method
How the data will be collected.
- Collect dated, attributable public price pages and voluntarily supplied written quotes for United States dental-practice websites. Preserve the source URL or redacted source record.
- Code one-time build fees, required recurring website fees, optional marketing fees, contract term, ownership or transfer terms, page scope, content scope, hosting, and maintenance as separate fields.
- Normalize recurring website charges to 12- and 36-month totals without treating optional advertising spend or marketing retainers as website cost.
- Use the quoted range when a source provides a range. Do not replace missing prices with estimates or midpoint assumptions.
- Publish row-level source notes where permission allows, a data dictionary, duplicate-resolution rules, summary calculations, and a correction log.
04 · What is measured
Every measure, defined.
- Initial website fee
- Required one-time amount attributable to design, development, or launch.
- Required recurring website fee
- Mandatory hosting, licensing, support, or platform charges needed to keep the quoted website operating.
- Three-year website cost
- Initial fee plus 36 months of required website fees, excluding optional services and media spend.
- Ownership terms
- The source-stated right to retain, transfer, export, or continue operating the website after termination.
- Included scope
- Pages, copy, migration, hosting, maintenance, accessibility work, and integrations explicitly included in the source.
05 · Exclusions and limits
What is left out, and what it cannot say.
Exclusions
- Undated prices and unattributable anecdotes
- Quotes that combine website work with other services but do not itemize the website component
- Advertising media spend, optional SEO or PPC retainers, domain purchases, and unrelated software
- Duplicate quotes or public pages representing the same offer in the same collection window
Limitations
- Published prices may omit negotiated terms, taxes, overages, or later change orders.
- Packages with different scope and ownership terms are not interchangeable even when totals are similar.
- Voluntarily supplied quotes may create selection bias, and public prices may change after collection.
- Until records are collected, this page is a protocol and must not be cited as a dental website market-price result.
